I miss you Roi, First time I heard you was in 95', I thought the music was different and I wasnt paying much attention I was too caught up in the (act of being at a concert for the sake of being at a concert) until I heard Warehouse and thats when the addiction started. It was a much different song then, but your solo, and the ending that you did at the end just blew me away, as you did many many many times again. Some of my favorite moments were just watching you on stage, and in the later year…
I can still remember the first time i heard DMB play, "Crash into me"...one of the best songs i've ever heard, i must have been 4 years old when i heard that, 10 years later still so vivid in my head i was once again introduced to it by my father. I'm so touched by "Funny the way it is". The first time i heard LeRoi was at Live in chicago when he was playing his solo on All along the watchtower, i've must have listened to that song over 300 times and it just keeps getting better, i can whistle h…
For all LeRoi's Fans here....It's so nice to see that so many people were touched by this man. He was sweet, dark, moody, funny as hell and such an amazing talent. God bless you, Roi! Your gift of music will be a treasure that we can enjoy for all time! And God bless YOU, DMB and LeRoi Fans! Keep that music in your souls and you won't be able to help but smile.
Leroi, your music changed the way I felt about music. I believed that only rap existed and i was addicted to those beats, but when I was introduced to DMB my freshman year of high school, the sax addicted me to the music. It was a new sound, and it pulled me into the music faster than anything. Leroi your music will influence my life forever. We will all miss you, you had so much more left to do.
Wow. DMB you rule! LeRoi Forever!
I'm listening to Don't Drink The Water, off the Central Park album.
